Just a tip... Never speed when you have a van-load of girl scouts with you. The other adults in the vehicle will think it's hilarious when you get a ticket!

I've only had one. My radar detector has saved my butt a few times! The one ticket I did get, though, was for doing 98 in a 70. It was only a $40 ticket, so no big deal.

I've had a couple. One that according to the Chief of the PD would result in a ticket for obstructed tag for every pick-up in teh state of alabama, and the other was for something teh officer said if I would ahve not done what I did I would ahve got hit. Both of thoes came from a campus cop at a college, and were just dumb IMHO. A cop was comming over a hill, runnign full lights. WHen I saw where he was he was already changing lanes to avoid me, where I had jsut backed out and had barley from from reverse to first when he came over the hill. Cop said I did the right thing... the other one, at the same time, was becasue the over paid meter maid said my trailor ball was blocking the tag...which the chief was correct... if they are going to do that, they need to start just handing out tickets with each truck that sells...
Now on to the stupid laws... Seat Belt... I don't agree with law. Yes they may save lives, but they may also take them. Personally I think when God calls you home, nothing in this world is going to stop it. When it's your time it's your time. It's not the governments place to tell me what to do when driving somethign that I work and pay for if it's somethign that may or may not only hurt me. The other that comes to mind, which is one I have had a ticket for is the inspections sticker. I am from Alabama, there we don't have such creatures. MS has them. % buck for someone to make sure your lights work. In alabama if you have enough lights out to effect you, you are going to pay dearly for it the first cop that sees ya. Personally I can't stand to have even a tag light out. It drive me crazy when a light is out. That is just me. A habbit I picked up from Daddy... you jsut make sure the lights work... with EVERY oil change. Take 30 seconds to hit the headlight and hazards and that varifies them all... and stop lights can be checked after dark. I'm going to stop now. I didn't mean to get on a soap box here:) I do appoligize.

hehe, I'm 17 but don't have a license and have only driven with my permit and a parent, so no, don't have any tickets.

I had a wreack that was my falt in a care w/ expired inspection and regestration, so thats 3 tickets. I got pulled over for speeding and my insurance card was expired, got a ticket for the insurance but not speeding, and all I had to do was show my new insurance card (wich was at home so I was coverd) And I've gotten tons of parking tickets, where I use to work only had 2 hour parking so I had to move my car all the time, and if I was busy I whould get a ticket, and I got another one the other day for not having a school parking permit. I'm not a bad driver I promise.

i got pulled over with my permit, cause our tail light was out. but ive been able to evade the cops whenever i speed. without a radar detecter. usually i do it on the freeway, so you can see cops. if you speed, you have to look around you first, and while you are doing it. cops are easy to spot. (i do not endorse speeding it is wrong, no one should do it)

You can drive as fast as you can afford - if you can afford a speeding ticket, the chance to have your license revolked, or perhaps be involved in a fatal accident, then spend the rest of your life repaying the debt and living in shame...then by all means, speed away.
