Anyone still listen to his music,it has been around a long time. I still like it today. A very talented writer, singer and musician. You could hear his love and devotion for GOD in every song he sang. I think Jesus loved his worship so much he called him home to hear it in heaven.

Yes! I just got his Ministry years vol. 1 CD a few weeks ago! My parents are quite amused by the fact that I listen to him, since they forced him upon me a great deal when I was little and of course I "hated" it then...
Some of the songs are a little dated, 70's sounding, but the majority of them still sound as fresh today as they did years ago. I suspect that a lot of people will rediscover his music! I especially love the Prodigal Son Suite, Walk and Talk. I love the chorus of Pledge my Head to Heaven, it's so beautiful I get a little teary when I hear it! I'm a softie.
I am looking forward to hearing Keith play in heaven...

I started listening to Keith back in the early 80's, and I still love his music to this day! I play as many songs as I can on the piano and jam every now and then. I even named my son Josiah because of his son who died alongside him (also because of the great king Josiah).
Keith and Melody both were/are incredible musicians and ministers.
Didn't a bunch of artists recently record some of his music?
I also loved Steve Camp, who was a friend of Keith. His songs are hard-hitting and convicting as well.
Another favorite of mine from that era is Michael Card, who is still around making wonderful music.

Craig Smith also has a wonderful music ministry from way back. His sound is very similer to Michaels, very deep and inspiring. I wonder if he is still writing and singing.

Keith Green was one of the first Christian musicians I listened to after I was saved. I remember listening to the radio one morning and hearing the news of his death, it was so sad, yet I do believe that his ministry will continue for years to come. As a matter of fact, I have been listening to some of his cd's today. The first time I sang a solo in church it was his "Grace By Which I Stand".
How about Barry Maguire? 2nd Chapter of Acts? Am I dating myself???!!!

I had forgotten about 2nd Chapter of Acts! Wow, that takes me back...
Have any of you ever seen Truth in concert? I think they no longer exist, but I have seen them several times over a 20-year period!
I remember when Steve Taylor was performing and recording, not producing.
Don Francisco, Harvest, Scott Wesley Brown, anyone???

Steve Taylor has always been weird
He did a song a long time ago about the Crystal Cathedral. Does that ring a bell for anyone?
I had no idea he was doing concerts as recent as 5 or 6 years ago.

Oh yeah, Don Francisco, I saw him in concert twice, powerful music. He is another who just puts the truth of the scriptures right out there, no ribbons or confetti, just the plain Truth.
Barry Maguire came to our church (in Everett, Washington) and gave one of the best music ministry concerts, and I was very close to where he was, such a sweet, Godly man with very profound truths in his music. Anyone familiar with "Cosmic Cowboy"? How about the story about the difference between believing and knowing, expressed through the analogy of toasting marshmallows? "Bullfrogs and Butterflies"? It's worth checking out. I love his album, with 2nd Chapter of Acts, called "To The Bride".

I absolutely love Keith Green. I was raised on Keith Green.and Carmen. I wish they made more gospel music like they did back then. Now days you can even tell if they're singing to God or Jesus, it sounds like they can be singing to their boyfriend or girlfriend. Except for mercyme. Those guys rock, they're my favorite now

What is it about Keith Green that makes his music stand up so well against time. Oh, yeah! It must be God. He was and is a blessing to me.

Lynn, are we the same age? I'm (almost) 25. I grew up listening to Carmen too. Hate to say it, though, saw him in concert in 96 (or 97?) and was drastically unimpressed by his message - as in, he didn't have a clear evangelical message. Actually his concert was terrible (not to mention cheezy!). I dont' listen to him anymore because of that. Is he still good?

Hey Jess...I am 26.. just turned 26 in September. Yea Carmen hes ok.. I. More into his older stuff. I love Keith Green, personally I think with his situation"his death"he was so much in love with the Lord, and the Lord new it, that Keith Long so much to be with Lord, the Lord took him home to be with him. and that's what I think. You can just tell by the way he signed in the words in his lyrics are so beautiful. Every time I listen to his music I starts to cry for absolutely beautiful music.
