The Unrealistic Dream

The unrealistic dream,
I am letting it go.
I am saying goodbye:
sending my prayers to the heavens so high!
To this unrealistic dream,
I have had for you and me.
I choose to accept this situation as it is,
Not for how I dreamed, it would be.
I surrender the idealistic dream!
I will not dwell on the past we lack.
God blesses me, with what we both have,
It is not your fault, nor mine.
It is just how relationships are sometimes.
I am twenty-two,
I am an adult,
I do not feel, that I am grown in every way
Nevertheless, I grow up more each day.
Striving to mature into my age
As I grow,
I began to see: the disappointment that has come, from my clinging to an unrealistic dream!
I am setting us both free!
Oh God, show me, that your reality is far better than my unrealistic dream!

This world give us many unrealistic dreams. Just like how the media lies to us and tells us we want things that arent real, or good. But i've come to realize that God always has something better in store than what our old dreams were, whatever it was. Thanks for sharing that poem, it was great!
