I don't know if Pax still has an anti-porn program, or even if it still exists, but if I knew that I could get it I probably would.
It wasn't just a program (for pop-ups and blocking ads) they also use live people to monitor what your computer actually accesses. It means a few seconds of delay between their eyes and yours, but I think it's worth it if you're concerned about children using the net or other sites trying to access your computer.
My only concern with using an anti-porn program or software is that I did try one at one time and it wouldn't even let me look up legitimate, professional sites that were strictly for medical purposes. I'm a medical admin student and need to get to WebMD or even the CDC sometimes for info to do my research papers on. So these days I just don't have any kind of anti-porn stuff on my computer.
I remember one time in particular when I tried to look up certain rash images and it wouldn't allow me to view some of them because they were on the female breast, lol. That's when I knew I couldn't use that software anymore. The assignment was to compare them and write descriptive and comparative paragraphs on each one.
Anyway, I'm sure that live people would know the difference between actual porn and the medical information that I use so frequently, and approve the latter for my use.
If you decide to go with it (if they're still available) let me know, okay?
Thanks, and God bless, dramaqueen.
